“Surely God is my salvation;
I will trust and will not be afraid,
for the Lord is my strength and my might;
he has become my salvation.”
With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. And you will say on that day:
“Give thanks to the Lord;
call on his name;
make known his deeds among the nations;
proclaim that his name is exalted.”
– Isaiah 12: 2-6
with joy we will draw water
from the wells of salvation
for God is our strength and might
we will trust and not be afraid
for we believe
and when we don’t
we ask for help
and God provides
how many times
do we have to see
that the people God chose to do the work
struggled
got nervous
some even tried to bolt
but God provided what was needed
and there was joy
in the fulfilling of God’s will
with boldness we will give thanks
and tell others our stories
pointing out that there were times
when we truly didn’t think we would make it
but when we turned to God for help
we joyfully found
that the water of salvation
never ran dry
